About Us

Born out of our work for Serenbe, we are the design firm behind the community’s unique architectural style, a successful partnership with visionary Steve Nygren to create a new model for community design and planning.

After 20 years of independent work we formed Planning & Design at Serenbe to further grow our business and broaden our appeal to homeowners who desire custom plans, community developers who need streetscapes and full plan books and support the growing design needs of the Serenbe community.

Our Approach
Planning & Design at Serenbe has been instrumental in remaking the way neighborhoods and towns are more thoughtfully developed starting with a biophilic approach. Our extensive work in single family homes from town houses to estate homes, is sought after by land owners and developers. We also contribute consultative and design services for neighborhood and town centers as well as collaborations with developers and planners on charrettes in partnership with Nygren Placemaking.


House Plans
We offer several of our top house plans as downloadable PDFs in a Pricing Construction Set at $2,900. Once your order is complete, an email confirmation will be delivered with a link to download the plan. 

Interested in adjustments to any of our house plans or a want to design your dream home, please contact us and we can discuss options and next steps. We also offer plan books for builders and developers working outside of the metro Atlanta region.
Note: Depending on your lot site plan, the state you are building in and any work with civil engineers there may be additional work and fees.

Steve Dray

Steve Dray is a principal with Planning & Design at Serenbe. He has designed hundreds of residential projects for over his career. He is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology with a degree in architecture and building construction management and a member of the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art. He enjoys traveling and being involved with his home neighborhood of Serenbe including sitting on the Serenbe Design Review Board (DRB).

Cecilia Winston

Cecilia Winston is a principal with Planning & Design at Serenbe and also graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology in the area of Industrial and Systems Management and also earned an Architecture degree from Auburn University.  She worked as a Senior Regional Designer for John Wieland Homes until 1997, when she came together with her husband, Steve Dray to form Winston-Dray.  A long time resident of Serenbe, she is also a member of the American Institute of Building Designers, the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art and the Serenbe DRB.
